Don't Wait to Be Happy

Jane (who goes by Nightbirde) was a contestant on America's Got Talent. The 30 year old beauty decided to sing an original called It's Okay which summarizes the last year of her life. She held no reserve to share that she has cancer; in her lungs, spine, and liver.

"So you're not okay," Howie Mandel responds with some pun intended.

"Not in every way," Jane politely and confidently responds. What a perfect and optimistic thing to say, all things considered for her.

"It's important that everyone knows that I'm so much more than the bad things that have ever happened to me."

I marveled at her bravery. And when she sang, I felt her words and drowned in her sultry tone and sweet melody of the piano.

To no surprise she earned a standing ovation and just before going after the merit of winning the Golden Buzzer she says, "you can't wait until life isn't hard anymore, before you decide to be happy." The water-works ensue (it was cry worthy).

To the beautiful Soul reading this, Bloom in the season you are in. Expect change, growth and happiness to come of it, as everything meant to be will happen for that reason. Expect challenges indeed but have the determination to overcome them. And more importantly, don’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore, before you decide to be happy.
