Launch Day

It’s like a Cinderella moment if I could describe it. I’ve experienced so many hardships along the way, it feels uncomfortable receiving such a reward and not needing to barter my happiness in exchange for something good to happen to me.

I keep asking God, “are You sure this is what You want me to do? Is this really the moment? Is the time really now?”

Self Check: Yes.

You were called to do this- in the season you are in, with the people God has brought into your life, and the resources and lived experiences you need as tools to carry you through.

While doing my make up, I kept staring at the mirror, looking at my watch as I countdown the time before the girls get here to celebrate ME. I have a camera man, a poster board of my book cover, a chef, edible arrangements from my girl, the party room reserved and beautiful women who are going to listen in on a chapter while we break bread…and there’s no catch??

When the time came, The ladies helped me finish setting up the decorations, all while exchanging pleasant conversation and laughter. I was greeted with bouquets of flowers, cards, wine, gifts and even a cake from my best friend…ALL for me?!?

During dinner, I read a chapter to my girls, and we opened our hearts, shared tears and great Waking Up words.

All I can say is, things do get better when you take the Waking Up journey. You do get to eventual peace and life starts to make sense when you live in your Purpose.

I’m staring at the same little girl in the mirror who questioned life and telling her, “Everything works for the good to those who love Him. Keep the faith, and hang in there.”
